Could West Adrian Church be a church home for you? We are a rural country church made up of both country and city folk that offers what so many other churches have abandoned… a traditional worship service.
God is blessing our children’s ministry and we are excited for that blessing.
We invite you to investigate this website to learn more about us. We are a group of multi-generational adults and children with a vision to always be a thriving and loving church fellowship.
We would be blessed by your presence. Our desire is to encourage people to discover the God who loves them so very much and equip them with God’s Word to grow into healthy Christ followers.
You are welcome at West Adrian Church and it is our hope that you will experience God, our caring fellowship of believers, and the life changes that the good news of Jesus can nurture in our lives… the forgiveness of sin, a personal relationship with Christ, and the power of the Holy Spirit to assist us in our earthly journey.
We’d love for you to prayerfully consider joining the family of God here at West Adrian. We are located at

Matthew and his wife, Danielle, met during their high school
years while they attended Grace Point Church (Adrian, MI).
They married in 2006 and are blessed with eight children.
Matthew is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute with
a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry (2010), and pursued his
graduate work at Grace Theological Seminary
graduating with a M.A. in Local Church Ministry
(2013). Matt was licensed to preach in 2013
through the Hill City Church in Oneonta, NY, and formally ordained in 2022 by the West Adrian Church that he presently serves.
Matthew writes “I am truly blessed to have grown up in a Christian home. My mom led me to the Lord at a young age, around 3rd grade. As I grew, so did my faith and my understanding of the forgiveness of my sins and the promise of life that comes through Jesus Christ alone. Our family always remained very active in the local church. As I matured, so did my seriousness when it came to following Christ. I knew the Lord was calling me into ministry in high school and I took (and continue to take) my call very seriously.”
Since coming to West Adrian Church Matt writes, “My whole family would eagerly testify that we have truly been blessed to be a part of this church. God had long been at work orchestrating this opportunity. Owning a small business has provided our family with the financial stability and freedom to operate our schedule to make sure we are maintaining the appropriate balances. We look forward to being able to serve in these capacities as long as the Lord will have us do so.”
We would love to have you visit us. We understand that visiting a new church can be somewhat daunting. We, of course, want you to feel comfortable. Know this about our church family. We are welcoming but not overbearing. We have little expectations of our guests. Yet, this is what you can expect. You’ll be invited to share in our fellowship time after church for light snacks (there’s always plenty to go around) and if it’s a potluck Sunday there will be enough food to feed a battalion of hungry soldiers! So join us guilt free. Of course, fellowship hour is always an option and it is simply a time for fellowship… so come, meet a few people, enjoy, and leave when you want.
We are a traditional family church. We believe in an intergenerational church where parents and children worship together. Parents are the best models for sharing their faith with their children. We love and sing hymns. We also sing some praise music. We include a children’s message during worship. We do offer the option for children to leave the worship for an activity, but we encourage older children to remain in worship. Our Sunday worship typically lasts an hour. We also take time to greet each other and have a time of congregational prayer. Pastor brings the message… typically expository. (If you don’t know what “expository” means, don’t worry about it. Just know the message is biblically based!) We don’t seek to entertain. We seek to help each other grow in understanding and application of God’s Word.
Oh, also know that we have no dress code other than common decency. Blue jeans, shorts, casual dress, suit and tie… whatever. God is just glad you’re here. And so are we.
